6th Grade Entry - Battle of the Labyrinth

6th graders at WOMS have been invited to post guest entries on my blog for YA books they’ve recently read. This is Noah’s entry. Thanks, Noah! '

Title-Battle of the Labyrinth
Author-Rick Riordan
Publisher-Hyperion Books for Children/New York an imprint of Disney Book Group
361pages

Main Character: Percy- A few years ago discovered that he was a Half-Blood. He also discovered he was the son of the Olympian god Poseidon. He has been asked to go on a lot of quests which his friends Grover, Annabeth, Tyson, and Nico have helped him with.

Plot- Luke a kid Kronos tricked into working for him wants to destroy Camp Half-Blood, the only safe place for Demigods. The reason why Luke wants to do this is because the Demigods have a chance of stopping Luke, the Titans, and his evil minions from dethroning the Olympian gods. Luke has discovered the Labyrinth which might lead them to camp Half-Blood across the magical borders so they can defeat Camp-Half-Blood. To do this they need to find Ariadne’s string so they can navigate through the Labyrinth. Can Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Tyson, and the rest of Camp Half-Blood survive Luke and the Titans? Read Battle of the Labyrinth to find out.

What I liked about this book was: It was funny, thrilling, and interesting all in one. In this book there is action in almost every chapter. I also like this book and this series because it is unusual, not many books that I have read about the Greek gods and goddesses are funny.

I would recommend this book to a person who enjoys laughter, thrills, and action, or likes an easy read. I would also recommend this series. The other books in the series are The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titans Curse and Battle of the Labyrinth.
