Poetry Friday - Shrinking Teacher



I have seen a LOT of kids this fall who might be thinking this very thing...


Shrinking Teacher

I saw my last year’s teacher.
Had she shrunk an inch or two?
It took me time to figure,
She was no shorter;
I grew.

I love that!

Teachers can also grow, however. The first year I taught (upper secondary level), I thought the third-year boys (c 19-20) looked tall and intimidating, but that was just until some of them were ´mine´. I have never been scared by a student since :D
